Terracotta has been the gardener's standby for centuries, and for good reason. The porous clay breathes, wicks excess moisture from the soil, and makes overwatering much harder, which is why we use it for succulents, herbs, and anything that prefers to dry out between drinks. This 8 inch pot has a traditional flared rim, a single drainage hole, and a matching saucer. It will develop a soft, chalky patina as it ages, which many gardeners treasure. Soak it in water for an hour before planting so the clay does not pull moisture from fresh soil.
